I moonlight as a DJ.
It all started when I discovered the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show.
I never set out to be a DJ. I set out to force people to listen to this incredible music, funk and soul from across the pond that, like so many things that come from beyond the borders of our nation, we’re deprived of.
In 2015, I did a few sets at my local pub in Cranston, RI.
Then I took a really long break, did a bunch of other stuff, moved a few times, always thinking, maybe I’ll do this again someday.
Recently I’ve decided that this is what’s missing from my life. Listening to this great music, with other people, and dancing. And then I saw one of the back rooms of Great Falls Harvest in Turners Falls, MA through new eyes. Through DJ eyes.
I just did my first DJ set there, in July of 2024, and it was freaking amazing.
