Facing the Future: Climate Change Theater
I wrote and directed one play and directed two others for The LAVA Center‘s second online short play festival.
From A Distance: 2020 (corona)visions
“From A Distance: 2020 (corona)vision(s)” is an online short play festival from The LAVA Center, with original new works from local and regional artists. I wrote and directed two of the short plays.

Climate Change Theatre Action Greenfield
It’s been a long time since I’ve done any theater! Climate Change Theatre Action is a worldwide series of readings and performances of short climate change plays presented in support of the United Nations COP meetings. In Greenfield, I directed nine of the staged readings. Co-conspirators are Jan Maher and Trenda Loftin.
The Third Friday Players
“meta philosophic dramatic sketch comedy with superheroes”
A sketch comedy troupe with Jennifer Johnson, Skip Leeds, Ali Thomas, and Charlotte Walkey.
We performed two free outdoor shows, twice each, in late 2010.

Circus Sideshow
Escape art, contortionism, fire-eating, bed of nails, and more.
I trained at the Coney Island Circus Sideshow School and with Harley Newman. I’ve performed and/or busked in Rhode Island; Ohio; and Flagstaff, AZ, mostly in the mid-late-2000s. I’ve performed a few shows with my son since 2016.
The Pathological Upstagers
In 2005–2006, I performed, as Vee “the Monsoon” Levene, with Jill “the Wood Nymph” Summerville in the post-alternative comedy duo. We performed about a half a dozen shows in several venues in Ohio, that were partly scripted and partly improvised.

It Adds Up
A one-act play I wrote and directed (and, for one performance, performed in) in 2006. A comedic slice-of-life story with socio-political commentary done in Brechtian/Meisneresque realism.
