It goes without saying that Amy Sedaris is an inspiration to all of us not-hot-presenting (“hot” as in Ariel Levy’s definition, which is, essentially, “fuckable”) women and entertainers in particular, who’d just as soon be successful on their own merits rather than how well they conform to beauty standards and offer themselves up as male-gaze-eye-candy.
