I sent this video to my mom; our e-dialogue went like this:

Vee: I want to hang out with this guy.
Mom: why? ‘cause he’s adorable? ’cause he’s smart?or just ’cause he laughs funny…?
Vee: Adorable smart and great laugh, yes, and he’s got this amazing energy in general and on the smartness point, I love it when people get so passionately excited about nerdy things so far from the mainstream and in particular so far outside of mainstream (ways of) thinking–I kind of identify with that. 😉 Plus he’s about making science accessible and specifically about bringing it into every-day, physical life. Hence I want to hang out with him. I miss that academic fervor.
